DEATH OF MR ARTHUR ASPLAND
The death occurred at a sanatorium on May 31st, of Mr. Arthur Brook Aspland, the eldest son of Mr and Mrs Arthur Brook Aspland, Brackenrigg, Windermere, at the age of twenty-nine.
The family is well known in Hyde, where they resided until about twelve years ago, at Whitegates, Bowlacre Lane.
Mr Brook Aspland was formerly the managing director at Slack Mills, of which his father, the late Mr Arthur Palmer Aspland was the managing director before him.
Mr Brook Aspland ceased to reside in Hyde when the Slack Mills changed over to the present ownership. He was a grandson of Mrs Aspland, formerly at Werneth Lodge, Hyde, which was given to the town and has been converted into a maternity home by the Hyde Corporation.
